Budget implementation of an Otomata-esque generative musical sequencer in 1022 bytes for #Pico1k

Move the cursor with the directional buttons/arrow keys.

x to toggle through cell states under the cursor.

z/o to play/pause.

Enter/pause button to bring up the menu (& reset option).

If you place the music making boxes like shows on the image it creates a cool loop

I love the fact that u can place them randomly and you get such a beauty from it

It's the best for creating music for a 8-bit game and not getting any copyrights! Also for bass or other thing you can get other programs or if the code of this make another thing like this but with other instruments it would be such a great combo!


My suggestion is to have the circle button not only played the music but when clicked a menu pops up with option to play the beauty or change the instrument :D


Edit: also enable the dev kit mouse for better navigation :)

Yup, but not always. Check if your headphones (other sound devices that you use) are connected and on and check if your volume level is high enough to be heard
